Both the MY6 and Leopard 53 have four guest cabins and accommodate up to eight guests.

One of the features we love most about the Fountaine Pajot MY6 is its enormous primary suite.
Rather than dividing the port hull into two smaller cabins, Fountaine Pajot dedicated the entire hull to one exceptionally spacious primary bedroom and private bathroom.
This creates an impressive suite with a level of privacy and comfort that is unusual for a power catamaran of this size.
The starboard hull contains the remaining three cabins.
Two are comfortable double cabins that work well for adult couples.
The fourth cabin is considerably smaller, which is why we generally recommend it for children rather than another adult couple.
There are three heads aboard. The forward starboard cabin uses a head located at the base of the stairs rather than directly inside the cabin. This also serves conveniently as a day head for guests.
For this reason, we particularly recommend our MY6s, Blue GypSea and Calypso, for three couples or families with children.
For three couples, everyone enjoys comfortable accommodations, with one couple benefiting from the spectacular primary suite.
For a family, the smaller fourth cabin offers useful flexibility for children.
However, for four adult couples expecting four comparable bedrooms and private en-suite bathrooms, we would generally recommend the Leopard 53 instead.

Leopard 53: Four Double Cabins With Four Private Heads
Our Leopard 53 Powercats, Freedom and Thumper, offer an exceptionally practical layout for four couples.
Both yachts have four double-bed cabins, each with its own private en-suite head.
The cabins are relatively similar in size and configuration, making the Leopard 53 particularly appealing for groups of friends traveling together.
There isn't one couple relegated to a substantially smaller cabin or required to share a bathroom.
This can make a real difference when four couples are splitting the cost of a charter.
The Leopard 53 also works beautifully for families, especially those with adult children or teenagers who appreciate having their own bedrooms and bathrooms.

The Leopard 53 is certainly an excellent option for three couples as well, particularly if everyone prefers more similarly sized cabins.

For four adult couples, we would generally recommend the Leopard 53.
Freedom and Thumper offer four double cabins with four private en-suite heads.

The MY6 technically has four cabins, but its smaller fourth cabin is better suited to children.
Additionally, the MY6 has three heads rather than four, and one of those is accessed from the passageway rather than directly from a cabin.
For four couples, these differences are worth understanding before booking.
The Leopard 53's more balanced cabin arrangement makes it one of our favorite bareboat power catamarans for four couples traveling together.

Fountaine Pajot MY6: Volvo IPS With Joystick Control
Our MY6s feature Volvo IPS propulsion with joystick controls.
For experienced powerboat operators, this can make close-quarter maneuvering particularly intuitive.
Rather than relying solely on conventional throttle and steering inputs, the joystick allows the skipper to control the yacht's movement in different directions at low speed.
