Meet Angeleyes
We are so excited to announce that our very own motor yacht 'Angeleyes,' will be featured on Netflix this Summer 2021! Netflix, the world's most popular online streaming service, is premiering a new series on June 18, 2021; 'The World's Most Amazing Vacation Rentals.' Netflix personally selected Angeleyes yacht to be showcased as one of the unique 'luxury' rentals available worldwide!
Producers saw the 85' Horizon Yacht Angeleyes online, and they were immediately impressed with the yacht's beauty and the 5-star experience offered by her top-notch crew. Filmmakers joined Angeleyes this winter in the Caribbean, where they enjoyed a charter to see first-hand what a charter experience aboard Angeleyes was really like.
Charter Accommodations
The Netflix film crew met Angeleyes while chartering just south of the BVI, in St. Martin and St. Barts. The hosts of The World's Most Amazing Vacation and their team met with Captain Darrel. Soon after, First Mate Remi offered one of his signature cocktails to the crew, and Stewardess Jenny gave them a full tour of the Angeleyes Yacht.
The Netflix team immediately experienced how Angeleyes is the perfect yacht for entertaining and relaxing! The unique design of Angeleyes offers an immense amount of indoor/outdoor space, and the floor-to-ceiling glass windows allow guests to enjoy the constantly changing views of the islands. The interior, formal dining area accommodates eight guests and a vast dining area on the aft deck that can accommodate 10, which is where the film crew typically preferred to eat, as they loved dining alfresco.
Below deck, Angeleyes offered everyone on the film team luxury accommodations equivalent to a 5-star hotel! Her vast 24' beam provides a cabin layout and volume unmatched by similar-sized motor yachts. She offers five double cabins; 2 King and 3 Queen, all with private en-suite baths. The master cabin is on deck with panoramic windows to enjoy the stunning island views as well as a huge master bath complete with a rain shower and jacuzzi bathtub. Below the deck are two VIP suites with walk-around Queen beds and two staterooms with King beds, both of which have the option to convert to twin beds if preferred based on the guest configuration.
To take advantage of the beautiful Caribbean weather, the film team spent most of their time outside, enjoying the many outdoor spaces Angeleyes has to offer. Angeleyes' spacious aft deck and open flybridge invite quality time spent with family and friends. The flybridge was the perfect space for the Netflix team to all relax together. They enjoyed a specialty drink that First Mate Remi whipped up from the full bar, all while watching the pop-up outdoor TV that could swivel 360 degrees to enjoy at any angle. One of the places they loved most was the sizable Jacuzzi hot tub on the flybridge; the perfect place to chill with a cocktail in hand and catch a fantastic BVI sunset at the end of the day!
Ultimate Charter Experience
The crew of Angeleyes provides guests a personalized charter experience, with a level of service rivaling the best hotels and villas in the world. Angeleyes' skilled crew of four have decades of collective experience chartering in the BVI and Caribbean.
Captain Darrel grew up in Johannesburg, South Africa, and in 2003 he decided to sell his house, quit the rat race, and go to sea. He has lived and sailed in the Caribbean for more than a decade, and he always found the best secret spots and beach bars to take the Netflix team. Darrel is a keen water sports fan and loves to water-ski, wakeboard, kiteboard, and dive. He loves any excuse to get out on the water, and his favorite part of having the Netflix crew on board was taking them tubing behind the tender and using his skills at the helm to flip them off!
Chef Jenn is a phenomenal chef who worked with the Netflix crew to create a charter menu tailored to their personal preferences. She focused on using locally-grown food wherever possible and tried to incorporate a farm-to-table approach in her cooking. Her favorite culinary creations are classics with a twist. The crew repeatedly said that Chef Jenn produced some of the best meals they had ever eaten anywhere in the world!
To make sure the Netflix team had a once-in-a-lifetime experience, First Mate Remi and Captain Darrel stocked Angeleyes with all the best water toys they could imagine for a great time aboard! Aboard, they enjoyed various unique activities, including spotting sea turtles in the anchorage during a morning paddleboard. They spent the afternoon relaxing on the enormous inflatable island. At the same time, chef Jenn whipped up homemade guacamole, which was served to them sea-side along with fresh margaritas made by Stewardess Jenny, and a fantastic day using the underwater sea scooters to take in the beauty of the coral reefs. Angeleyes also is equipped with a brand new, state-of-the-art Novurania 24' tender with 200hp outboard. The tender fitted with a drop-down bow step, which means Captain Darrel could drive the tender can be driven right onto the beach so the crew could step directly from the tender onto the sandy shore without ever getting wet!
