Bareboat

Adding a generator to your bareboat charter gives you the freedom of independent sailing without sacrificing comfort. Generators keep essential systems running smoothly, from air conditioning and galley appliances to refrigeration and navigation equipment, even when you are anchored in remote bays. Whether you are planning a week of island hopping or a longer voyage, choosing a bareboat yacht with a generator ensures a more comfortable and versatile experience on the water. Browse our full selection below to find the right yacht for your Caribbean adventure.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Why should I book a bareboat yacht with a generator?

A generator makes life onboard more comfortable, especially on longer trips. It powers air conditioning, refrigeration, and electrical outlets when you are away from shore power.

2. Can I run the generator at night?

Yes, many charter guests use the generator overnight for air conditioning or charging devices. However, fuel use and noise should be managed carefully.

3. Does a generator make provisioning easier?

Yes. With reliable refrigeration powered by the generator, you can store more fresh food and beverages for longer trips without worrying about spoilage.

4. Do all bareboat yachts come with generators?

Not all bareboats include generators. Be sure to check the yacht’s individual listing for equipment details.

5. Is extra fuel needed for the generator?

Yes. Running the generator consumes fuel, which is normally charged separately. The exact policy depends on the yacht provider.

6. Are generators difficult to operate?

No. They are straightforward to use, and full instructions are given during your yacht briefing before departure.

"Another Amazing Week With VCY"

Amazing customer service. Highly recommend VCY ahead of the other two big companies on the island with very little customer service.
