Bareboat

Yachts with an ice maker bring a touch of extra convenience and luxury to your time at sea. Whether you are sailing the BVI or cruising further into the Caribbean, having a steady supply of ice on board means refreshing drinks at sundown, chilled beverages throughout the day, and perfectly preserved ingredients for meals. This simple feature makes life on board smoother and more enjoyable, especially in warm island climates.

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Why choose a yacht with an ice maker?

It ensures you always have fresh ice available for drinks, cocktails, and food storage without relying on marina supplies.

2. Do all yachts come with an ice maker?

Not all yachts are equipped with one. Always check the individual yacht listing to confirm if an ice maker is included.

3. How much ice can the machine produce?

Ice production varies by yacht and model, but most machines provide enough for daily use by all guests on board.

4. Can I use the ice maker at anchor?

Yes, as long as the yacht’s generator or power supply is running, the ice maker can operate while anchored.

5. Is the ice safe for consumption?

Yes. Ice makers on yachts use the same clean water supply as the onboard taps or water maker, ensuring it is safe to consume.

6. Do crewed and bareboat yachts both have ice makers?

Ice makers are more common on larger or crewed yachts, but some bareboats are also equipped. Check the specific yacht details.

7. Can ice still be stored if the machine is not in use?

Yes, yachts with freezers or coolers can store extra ice for later use.

"Another Amazing Week With VCY"

Amazing customer service. Highly recommend VCY ahead of the other two big companies on the island with very little customer service.
